My little Artist

I hoped and prayed when my daughter was little that she would excel and love the arts.....

and it turned out she LOVES to be creative!!!!! I am so blessed!!!!

She not only loves anything crafty but she is good at it too!

But then I am her mother and my opinion is biased ;)

I enjoy everything she creates, and feel I had to share this with the world ;)

We were over at my friends the other day and he set up a project for her to do, a canvas, a set of acrylic paints and an assortment of brushes! He asked her if she would create him a Christmas picture that he could hang in a frame on the wall.

Without hesitation she eagerly accepted the offer and away she went!

 

What I absolutely love about children and their artwork is they work without an inner critic,,without hesitation! If we could only keep that freedom as we grow older and just simply create!

and here is her finished painting,,,, OH how I love it, and my friend was so pleased he is going to use her artwork for his Christmas cards next year. ;)

He immediately framed and hung it (which she thought was pretty darn cool)

 

Now I am patiently awaiting my painting ;)

busy with bb

I hadn't realized how long it had been since i posted till a friend mentioned it. It has been a busy summer,not necessarily busy doing anything in particular but chasing baby girl. She's a busy one and can crawl fast very fast! We have baby proofed the house now,,,, or so we think. ha ha I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!

A new Career Anyone?

Now having a child, I honestly feel sorry for my husband who has to put together absolutely everything we purchase for the baby! A very lucrative career for someone could be a mobile assembler! Come to the home and assemble all the crap you have to put together while trying to decipher the instructions in spanish or japanese! :) I bet someone could really make a killing at a business like this! I mean you purchase the item for a price and then how much IS your time worth to put it together? I personally cant touch the "put it together yourself" stuff. I just get too frustrated, and there is always 1 screw missing at the end somehow! :)

Mobile she is

She is one proud little girl and I am in big trouble! :) The little is seven months old now and mobile! She will be walking in no time! She is keeping me on my toes thats for sure! Not much time right now for anything but playing with her and keeping her occupied! ART? what is that? FREE TIME? No such thing but she is SOOOOO much fun right now! Being a Mom IS the hardest job ever but THE BEST job ever! :) Good wishes to all!

Another block of time has passed and no entry. The girl is keeping me busy and on my toes! We are having so much fun! Lucy and baby have already become the best of friends. It is so incredible to see this bond forming already!

Melting Crayons

It is so cute how our neighbor kid, Stuart likes to come and hang out with us. He is always curious as to what we're doing and loves to visit and talk.

Last weekend before he was leaving for his boyscout meeting he stopped over to chat and show us his magnifying glass. He informed us how you could start a fire if you needed to if you were lost in the woods (something I am sure he learned in boy scouts) and fabricated a few stories for our entertainment.

So Jeff proceeded to show him you could also melt crayons! He was FASCINATED by this!

What a kid! He just cracks us up! So curious in nature... he is pretty fun to have around!
