Necklace for Mom

This was one of the Christmas presents I made for mom this year. She is always so encouraging with anything and everything I do, so I knew she would appreciate this as a gift.

 

It's a freshwater pearl strand with aqua marine drops and garnets. Aqua marine is her birthstone and garnets were my aunts birthstone (who passed 5 years ago and whom we all deeply miss)

She loved it!

Halloween all dressed up

YES,,,, She was a FLOWER! I couldn't resist...

        

Halloween

Then came and went Halloween! The first year I dressed her up... the age where you can dress them in whatever YOU like and they can detest it when they're adults! :)

At this time she has approximately 12 words in her little vocabulary... I wouldn't say that PumPkin is one of them, but she seems to say it, but more often calls the pumpkins "ball"

The Party

A few days after her actual birthday we had a good 50 or so people crammed in our little house for her birthday party, mostly family which was surprising... this was the first occasion all for her and with both sides we had quite a bit of family present! My Dad and his wife even flew up from California for the big occasion. 

This little girl... ate it all up...

SHE LOVES PEOPLE! and for her... the more the merrier! Her big thing that day was "OOOOOOH" as you can tell from this picture....

Then come October.... I cannot believe she is 1!

One year ago I gave birth to this little bird! I had NO IDEA what to expect, I had NO IDEA she would be so much fun! I had NO IDEA she would be so amazing, and that she would turn my husband into the best father ever!

I wish I could go back to that first week she came home.. just for a moment.. to look into her eyes and hold her little hands and feet in my hand. I wish I could tell myself then to relax a bit and not stress out that wasn't doing the right things...to tell myself everything is great and I was doing ok!

If I could do it all over again in retrospect.. I would cherish the time a little longer.. I would relax a bit more! :)

She started walking a few weeks before her first birthday, she toodles around very well,, and is really cruising now! We call her Edgar when she walks because she looks like Vincent D'Onofrio's character Edgar in the MEN IN BLACK movie.

For her actual birthday which was Oct 24th Nanna (my Mother) came over and played with us and we opened a few presents with Lucy too of course!Here are a few pictures from her birthday

Then we celebrated with family at a local mexican restaurant (She's gotta love mexican food, because thats what I craved when I was pregnant with her!).... 

She was enamored with the singing, and was a trooper with the sombrero on her head!

Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers out there!

This is my baby's father!

Words cannot even describe what I feel when I see the two of them together!

I would of never of dreamed just HOW GOOD of a father Jeff would be to this little girl, and I can honestly say that she IS a DADDY's girl!

As I have heard before.. anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Daddy... and Jeff is definitely this! He is amazing with her!!! 

Happy Father's Day Jeff.... you are THE BEST!!!!

My first Mother's Day

I never knew until now how wonderful, rewarding, and breathtaking it was to be a Mother. It is the hardest... yet the MOST rewarding job I have EVER had!

I am so BLESSED!

HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter to ALL! Baby's First Easter!

Missing a lot this season...

This Christmas we were so blessed to have Audrey...

however..

it just isn't quite the same when you are missing the ones that aren't here... things change.. life changes.... things can't always be the same... different dynamics come into play....

but it doesn't help the fact you miss the ones you love....

I miss my Aunt Pam very much! I only wish she could have met Audrey! I wish she could have seen her in her Christmas dress and I wish she could see her sister (Audrey's Grandmother, my Mother) with her grandaughter.

I miss Bailey... she so looked forward to Christmas every year... she opened her own presents... and I miss that so bad...

I miss Scout.... the Little Man... I miss his sweet face and kind spirit, he was so in tune to me...he was my little protector! God I miss him!...

This is the first year without either one of the dogs.... and I miss them.
