In my opinion... everyone should have a Scout and I wouldn't say that about all my dogs I've had... as for Miss Bailey girl.. it took a very PATIENT OWNER to care and lover her (too smart for her own good sometimes)
Scout has the patience and tolerance of a saint.Saint Scout! He LOVES children, and just plain loves to be loved. It is during difficult times your life when you realize how lucky you are to have a dog.. they are so keen to your moods and they love you no matter how you're feeling or what is going on in the world around them.
These pictures were taken the other day while we were relaxing in the backyard taking advantage of our recent 80 degree weather... and yes.. it is a real snail!
On another note.. we faired the 4th.. okay... we spent the majority of the night in the basement (I think Scout feels as if it's a bomb shelter).. and we reluctantly gave him 1/2 a tranquilizer.. but it's not just the 4th that's bad.. it takes him a few weeks to recover from it.
(just HATE this holiday because of how bad it torments the animals!)
Oh yes, Stacie...I know the soothing power of a "Scout"!I am so glad you have yours during this difficult time in your life. I received the ATC in the mail and it's more beautiful in person!
Thinking of you,

i am with you sister on the loud noises, so many dogs run away and our newspaper had a big article on runaway pets the next day..people do not realize how sensitive their ears are!! with 4dogs in the house, fireworks and thunderstorms are a reason to hide out in the basement!!!
take care~kim
