Salvage Studio
Although my actual Birthday was NOT a fun one.. (Sunday) I had the most wonderful day on Saturday with my friend Gretchen which made up for Sunday. We started out at the Annual Mukilteo Artists Garage sale! It's an annual event where artists clean out their studios sell their left over art supplies and their work, ... and sometimes mix in a few antiques! It is the one event I plan a year ahead of time..always knowing it is on my Bday weekend!
After going there we stopped at a few garage sales.. and headed to the premier Saturday opening of The Salvage Studio. They have workshops, sell goods, and it's a DREAM come true for someone like me! As they put it on their website...and I QUOTE from their website...
"unified in their lust for rust
and adopting "reduce, reuse and
recycle" as their mantra,
the salvage studio
is devoted to rescuing
abandoned, forgotten or discarded
items and finding a new or better
purpose for these castoffs.
discover our home, garden & gift
items made from
recycled/reused/reinvented
materials and experience our
studio as a place to gather ideas,
collect supplies, foster
creativity and promote a
sense of community."
I was so impressed with the place...I had to share it with the world! All I can say.. is I am lucky to live so close to it! I can't wait to return every week to find new goodies! The gals that own it.. (Beth,Lisa, and Amy) couldn't be more friendly or FUN! If you get a chance to stop by there and see it for yourself... I highly recommend it! CLICK here to see more fabulous photos I took of their lil' haven!
And to top the day off.. we were able to catch a 2 hour free demo of Golden Products! I know I will have to attend another one in the future, because I will NEVER remember all I learned!
LUCKY YOU!!! What a fabulous and joyful place. Enjoy every moment there and thanks for all the detail pics. No, I'm not jealous. And hey, I love that Puddle of Mudd CD as well. ;)

thanks for posting about the shop! I will be home for christmas this year and would love to find some great places to stack up on my stash. Too bad I missed the Mukilteo sale, maybe I will have to plan to hit that next year (my Dad lives on Whidbey so it would be soooo easy to go to it!). I might email you when it gets closer to my trip so you can give me tips on more cool places! thanks! P.S. Thanks for your comment on ebay. Hmmm, never thought of classes before, don't know what i would teach!

I am so excited that you shared the pictures from the Salvage Sisters. I have been receiving emails from them for some time now, and can't wait to take a trip to the other side of our mountain to go to their shop.(I live on the eastside of the cascades) You are very lucky! And wow, I bet the artist garage sale is fun too. Thanks again!
