My husband and I finally got to get away for a weekend!!!!
This was the first time since starting the house project last May!It was a very much needed weekend away as we are both dealing with a little too many pressures from life right now!
We spent the weekend at Chrysalis Inn & Spa in Fairhaven,WA (Bellingham) and just took it easy all weekend! We have been here before (pre-house project last year) and really enjoyed it!
We stayed in lovely King Suite which is a little pricey, but hey, we only do it once in a while, and it was well worth the money! Our room overlooked the water AND the train tracks (which you can imagine we didn't get the best sleep)
I was ready to stay the entire week, and if we didn't have to go back to work, and had the extra money it would have been considered! Although the reservations for the Spa were all booked up, if you are a guest of the hotel you get use of the Eucalyptus steam room. I went everyday we were there, and now want to build one in our basement!
They have a restaurant (FINO) right there at the Inn and the food is fabulous! Highly recommended!!!! Even if you don't get the chance to spend a weekend at the Inn, it may be something to consider just going to their restaurant for a nice dinner out!!!
My brother in law was nice enough to stay with the fur babies, and although we missed them terribly it was nice to have a break from them. (as golden retrievers they are quite needy of attention all the time)
It sucks to be back, but I am thankful for the opportunity to go at all!
