Little La Rue

Scoutie La Rue has had such a hard go lately..

Last Thursday we came home to Scout and a horribly infected ear.. so bad he was crying.. so we take him into the emergency clinic (after hours and all) and discovered he has a bad ear infection... so we put him on the necessary meds and went home.

Then at his "photo shoot" on Sunday he hurts his little leg first thing.. but as we walked around a bit it seemed to ease..

Then last night we come home to him and the entire right side of his face and eye was totally swollen.. So much that he looked like a sharpei! We rush him into the vet again,, and find out it was 1.he was allergic to his meds from the ear infection (which seem unlikely because he's already been on them a week) or he got bit by a spider.

SOooo.. they gave him a shot of benadryl, some different antibiotics, and steroids...

Bless his little heart!

He looked a hundred times better this morning... so I hope this is the last "bout" for him for a while. He IS the sweetest dog ever.. or at least that I have seen and I hate it when he hurts..

Oh poor little thing! I sure hope he will be better soon! I know how it just breaks your heart when they suffer and all in silence since they can't even tell you it hurts!! will check back and see how he's doing!! Have a wonderful Christmas my dear!! and looks like you had a grand time taking pictures and all too!! how fun!!I need to take more of my little wiener dog again! she is my baby!!

Awwww..poor baby. How old is he?
I hope he stays well and you don't have any holiday visits to the ER.
