Well my DSL is STILL down and has been since the 23rd! After 3 trouble calls to Verizon and 2 returned calls from them saying "your trouble has been fixed" and it still isn't working I am furious! I can understand somewhat of a delay because of the holidays etc.. but we are going on an entire week of being down!
Not only are we down now, but our DSL is always going down. I would say we have to restore all/renew all at least once a week! You HATE to call them because it takes 30 minutes to just get through their IVRU (interactive voice response unit) to get to a live person, and then when you do.. GEE.. you've reached the wrong department... let me transfer you!!! 3 hours later you've gotten nothing accomplished!!!! I am DONE! I don't know about anyone else but I don't have a spare 3 hours to spend on the phone when I am home! Such a shame... I have been a loyal customer for YEARS.. I was one of the first in our area to have DSL.. and I just can't take it anymore... Sorry Verizon--you need to treat your loyal customers a little bit better.. people have choices now! Your stock has never risen above 30 something dollars and you wonder why????
I have had it! We're going with cable! We called Comcast last night and they are shipping us the installation package and should have it by the end of the week or early next week!

Oh you poor thing!! I know how much fun all this mess can be!! we have finally gone from dial up to a local wireless service and so far so good!! hope you get things worked out!! from what my friends have said they like comcast!! so hang in there and hope you have a grand New Year!!!!
