Busy Exhausting weekend

It was a busy exhausting weekend ... yes... spent on the house...

gee.. surprise surprise..

Jeff worked his butt off,,, gee surprise surprise..

I did the grunt work as usual,, picking up the excess wood, tools, handing and FINDING tools when needed.. it is amazing that I would know where the kliens are when I don't even use them.. (it must be a woman thing)..

Jeff replaced the entire meter base yesterday and worked on the upper part of the house today. It is looking more and more like a house again. I have to say he has done a beautiful job!!!! As I have said before and will say again.... he never ceases to amaze me!!! I am so proud of him!

He finished the trim for the VERY last one of the windows today!!!!!!!

It makes me so nervous him being up so high on  the house... I keep the phone close by just in case I need to call 911! At least he is putting a harness on for the steep side! Thank God! All work and NO play makes the Rife's a dull family.

Along the way I know we have disappointed family and friends for not showing up at events and "fun stuff" but if you haven't been there/here ...you just don't know the work that is involved! and not to mention we are under time constraints to get this done before the rainy season starts.... we are really pushin' it as it is.....I would like to see someone else do this ALL alone like Jeff has...  and like WE are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready to have a little FUN.....

We got a real "nice" phone call from a "friend" last night calling Jeff  "an ass" because he was pissed off that Jeff wouldn't go fishing in the boat w/this person tomorrow... HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO you've been by the house... didn't you seen that we are a little busy????  I didn't hear you offer to help get things done faster so Jeff can take YOU fishing......(and that story is just one of many)

Maybe I am a little miffed... but my husband does SO much for SO many... and gets nothing in return....

Well enough of that... it is Sunday.. and I am tired and going to bed....

Well, it isn't much, but some of us out here are watching Jeff's progress on the house and think he is doing a beautiful job of it! You must be very proud of him, Stacie. He obviously takes pride in his work and you can never say he is lazy. : )
