When one is extremely talented in the drawing/sketching arena...where does this talent come from? Is it something you are just born with? Is it something that you acquire from the age of 2? Is it in your genes? IS IT EVEN SOMETHING YOU CAN LEARN?
Ever since I was young I have always LOVED to draw. I have always LOVED paper, crayons, markers, paints, pencils etc etc...only 1 thing... as much as I TRY, I have never been "talented" at it.
~~ oh what it is like to have the life of an illustrator for children's books??? ~~
It just not fair. As hard as I try, and try and try and try,, I am not good at drawing. Do these talented illustrators just have a vision in their mind and are just able to draw it? (one illustrator in particular I LOVE is French Toast Girl) Do they just let the pen go like water flowing from a faucet and voila,, they have an adorable drawing? I just don't get it! I have always wondered. Do they know how envied they are by non-artists???
Maybe the reason I took to collage art is the fact that I don't have to know how to draw.. but really... is collage really an "art"? I mean you're not drawing or painting anything.
