Tension has been pretty high in the ol’ household. We have had several sleepless nights due to Scout breathin’ heavy and the stress alone of worrying about him has been enough to send us both over the edge.
Here is the update,, if you can even call it that. Jeff took the day off work to bring him into the heart specialist. They called late Sunday and had an appointment for him 10am on Monday. Jeff drops him off-of course cash only, and it’s $400.00 up front (oh yeah, and could go anywhere to $600.00)—well whatever, just HELP HIM!
Jeff picks him up a few hours later,
PROGNOSIS-……
NOTHING IS WRONG WITH HIM….
(so they say)
They “ supposedly”—(like I trust anyone right now) did an ultrasound, checked for tumors, bleeding of the heart, heart murmur etc etc..
They say he DOESN’T have a heart problem. So why the heck did our vet with 20+ years of experience say he does??? He has been on HEART MEDS for close to 2 years now!!!
?????????????????????????????????????????????
They told us to discontinue the meds, so we did. The last couple of days following being completely off the heart meds he has “seemed” to be a little better—well that was until last night. He woke me up again, breathing heavy and fast… ??? I am so confused and frustrated.—but yes,, “relieved” that “nothing” is wrong with him. Gosh I wish he could just TELL me how he’s feeling!
I’m exhausted.
hey, so glad that they found nothing. My neighbour had a cat with chronic asthma, it used to breathe as if it had smoked 40+ cigarettes a day. Was scary when walking home in the dark and you could hear heavy breathing behind you only to turn round and find this little black cat following you.
hugs
