So behind on everything!

I feel so behind on everything from housework, to art, to sending my friends packages, to stocking and updating my little storefront at Faded Elegance! There is never enough time in the day to do what I want to do .....let alone do it when not feeling up to par. But thus... nothing new!

Unfortunately my "creative juices" seemingly strike at nightime! I mean I could stay up all night with tons of ideas and that feeling of "getting in the zone".. but that sleep thing has to get in the way! It hurts when you work a day job that beckons you at 7am (ESPECIALLY when I am a night owl)

I have things to post on ETSY,  things to put in the store, and OH.. just FORGET about my organization plans for my studio.. geez I don't think it will ever happen unless I possibly pay someone to come in and help me (but then again i don't have that kind of money and one look at my space and they would say.. IMPOSSIBLE!)

This is something I created a few weeks ago.. not sure what to do with it..??? put it on ETSY, or in the store?? I feel it needs a little something though.. not sure what? Been pondering what it needs but it's just not coming to me.. Anyone have any ideas????

My poor husband.. having to deal with me,,, all my crap,,, and my fleeting ideas and constant running.. I swear I think I have ADD and always take on WAY too much than I can handle! One thing I can say.. is I am NEVER bored and my brain never stops. If I could buy time.. I would get yet even another job! And on top of it all... I want a baby...????? What am I thinking?

His way of support

We all show support in our own different ways.

My husbands recent way of support in my Newest Endeavor was bringing these lovely chairs home for me. Not only did he bring them home for me to "re-create".. but he spotted them in a shop owner's DUMPSTER.. and took it upon himself to ask the shop owner if he could have them AND GOT THEM OUT OF THE DUMPSTER! (this is HUGE for my husband!)

So even though we don't always get support in OUR way.. people have their own ways of showing support!

A New Endeavour

 

At least once a week I frequent a beautiful shop called Faded Elegance. They are located in North Everett,WA @ 2112 Hewitt Avenue and sell everything from shabby & glamorous antiques to just plain pretty things.

It’s the kind of place you walk into and don’t want to leave. You’re surrounded with pink and blue hues, sparkling crystals, worn bistro furniture, red roses, fabulous linens, cozy chenille, and gilded gold amongst the high ceilings and brick walls! You’re greeted with a hot cup of tea and your ears are enlightened by the sound of old Sinatra.

One afternoon on one of my many lunchtime visits I noticed a sign that said space available. I thought to myself.. what a marvelous place to be a “part of”. I asked Page (the store manager) what I would need to do to apply. She responded.. “Just bring in slides or pictures of your things all set up and I will pass it onto the owner”…I was instantly discouraged as I have never done anything like this before, let alone have pictures. Not giving up the thought of being a part of this somehow someway.. I replied back with my situation….never done this before, don’t have pictures… BUT.. I do artwork and DO have a website! I left her with my name,# and website.

Two weeks later when I thought I was just long forgotten about I get a call from the owner saying she loved my work and she would be happy for me to be in her shop!

SOOOO for the last few weeks I have been working my rear end off gathering things for my new endeavor! My Mom and I had been talking about doing something like this for months… well here we go! So far it has been exhausting fitting it in amongst all the other things I enjoy/have to do while working full time & keeping up w/housework & laundry…but it has been SO much fun! My brain is going a million miles an hour and (like I said in my previous post) I just need to let my body catch up!

So.. that is my latest news! I am sorry to say they don’t have a website up yet.. but maybe soon. And if you’re local and you haven’t been in the store yet.. it is well worth the visit! I have said that long before I was a part of it! Wish me luck—only time will tell…. I know I have a lot to learn.. but for me.. it’s the creative part that I am having such a blast with!!! OH.. and the biggest PLUS of it all…. I get to sell my art, and jewelry there!!!!
