Great new book!

I ordered Corey Moortgat's Book The Art of Personal Imagery a while ago and received it in the mail last week.

I really am enjoying it, and she has some great ways to capture life events and journaling!

Books on AMAZON!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

I am sad to say this... but I am glad they are almost over... It was a hard one this year for me and my family!

As part of my New Years resolution (starting early).. I am trying to clean out my studio.. I am ridding myself of books I have.. not because I don't like them, but because there are a few new ones I would like, and I need to clean out a few...

Books are my downfall

Books are my absolute downfall... (well just one of them).. I won't leave the house without a tote full of books or a journal.. or a project of some kind.. just IN CASE I get caught with nothing to do! It is a must for me.. and as the result of this.. I have several totes full of books laying around.. in my car or in my art room.. "now where was that fabulous book???.. probably in one of my many totes.. God forbid it be on a bookshelf somewhere!"

So here are my most recent "MUST HAVE BOOKS!"

Of course... they are all on my AMAZON WISH LIST but I think I will have to buy myself a early Christmas present... .hummmmmm???? :)

I am excited to say I got an email from the editor of North Light Books, and

Artist Trading Card Workshop book  (by Bernie Berline) is out! I am to receive my copy of it soon! I can't wait to see it! I contributed some artwork for it!! :)))

It sounds fabulous, and like a "must have" for the artsy person!

Great Book!

I recently bought this book, and it was SO good I didn't want the pages to end. I wanted to see MORE!!! So inspiring, so pretty, and great project ideas along with pages you can scan to use. I hope she comes out with a second because I would be first in line to get it!

Paper Dolls

Recently got this book! Very fun, (now even cheaper!!!!) and full of great ideas..

Now I am really wanting to get the "Beyond Paper Dolls" by Lynne Perella!!!! (this is NEXT on my book list!!!)

Newest Book I've bought!

Just received my newest book (was on my wish list but didn't receive it for Christmas so I bought it myself)...

Alphabetica by Lynne Perella

Although I do like it, it seemed to me it's the same ol' published collage artists and the same techniques we've been seeing in many books lately. I was hoping for newer techniques. Don't get me wrong.. if you are looking for eye candy (which we all know I love picture books).. this is still a great book.

My personal opinion... if you were to get one of the 2.. get her first book
