My blog used to be a place where I would show my latest creations. (art wise) but since the little bitsy keeps me so busy there is no time for creating. So I have surrendered to the fact that the blog is still for my latest creations, but now being baby. At least until I get some free time. She will be eight months tomorrow! WOW I cant even believe it! Its hard to believe she is almost as old as I was pregnant! (Still havent got rid of the baby weight yet mind you-but I am sure I will soon chasing after her!) My time flies when you're having fun!!!!
Audrey at 5 weeks old...
24 seconds into the video.... take a close look!
I PROMISE I didn't teach her this!
OH my.. it has been way too long since I have posted!
Everytime I turn the computer on to blog... by the time I get to it.. the computer has shut itself off, and then I get sidetracked... the story of my life right now.. always side tracked... don't seem to get anything done...
but the one thing I am getting done I suppose is baby is always fed, clean, and entertained :) so that in itself I suppose is an accomplishment :)
time has flown by....... Audrey is 4 months old now and changing every day. Everyone told me time would fly and boy were they right! Every day it seems she is doing something new,,, and her looks seem to change by the minute!
I have less than 2 weeks before I have to go back to work and I am nervous about that.. but luckily DH is off the first 2 weeks so she'll be well taken care of.
We had our first professional photo sitting.. well.. a while ago.. she was 2 1/2 months when we took them and looks completely different now but since it's been so long since I have posted I will post them now.. or a few of them. I can't wait to get ones taken of her now!
These pictures definitely tell her story.. she's always got something in her mouth. Usually her dress like the second one.
I did get some impromptu pictures with me in them...
. Wasn't to fond of the idea at first.. but now I am glad I did.. as you can't get the time back!
Kind of cool though.. the dress she is wearing in these photos is an antique.. from the late 1800's. It wasn't the best choice in colors.. but it is kind of sweet.
Well.. this is all I have time for right now.. Little one is sleeping and I best be getting my rest as tomorrow will be a full day! :)
I need to get better about posting.... and even better... I need to get back to some ART! I am starving for some art time..... Does anyone know how other mothers manage to get art time in????? PLEASE????? ESPECIALLY when their babies don't nap???????????? Any tips on how to get a baby to nap would be good too!
Lisa---- (my cousin).... if you're reading this... the EASY isn't working... HELP! (Eat,Activity,Sleep, You time)
I am so fortunate to be able to spend this time with the little. She is growing so fast and I am fortunate enough to see every minute of her growth. I am on maternity leave until March.
I can't even imagine having to put her in daycare right now. The thought of it freaks me out! I just thank my lucky stars she doesn't have to be in a daycare now! How long does a little baby go at a daycare with a wet diaper? I am sure it depends on the daycare, but from most of them I've seen there are only a few adults to several kids and with that kind of ratio.... its logical they just wouldn't get the attention they would need. Not to mention the cost of daycare for a baby! May as well get your own nanny for that price!
I've never considered myself an entertainer, but I am now! I get to entertain the little all day!I have done more dancing in the last few months than I ever have and I now speak a totally different language....... that I dont even understand! I have discovered just how many different noises I can make and I now humm ALL the tunes to the toys she has.... I find myself humming them EVEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT ON... HA! :) It seems so funny how much a baby can make you act just totally goofy!
As I write this, the little bird is draped over my shoulder and I don't have the heart to put her in her crib. Selfish? Yeah maybe.. but time goes so fast and I am sure before too long she wont BE ABLE to be draped over my shoulder. She is just so warm, cuddley, and sweet!
To close this post... I need to share some pictures I took of her the other day. I take so many pictures.. but only a select few turn out really good. I think these are my most favorite I have taken so far!
WOW... I can't believe how fast time is flying by... Christmas and New years... gone by...
and I can't believe it's been so long since I have updated my blog...It seems every time I go to write a post... the phone rings.. the Babe is in need... the pup wants to play.. piles of laundry...bottles to make....thank u cards to write.. (which I still have so many)....and so on...
yes... I speak the life of a new mother... :) perfectly okay though... I still feel very blessed even on the days when the Babe is a bit cranky!
She is 2 1/2 months now which is just so surreal! Everyone was right... the time flies!
She is now pushing 11 lbs (such a far stretch from her 6 lb birth weight!) She changes everyday... she is now rolling over (1 way) smiling.. ALL THE TIME.... laughing.... holding her hands...wanting to bring most everything to her mouth...OH..and knowing that she likes to be held a lot (possibly My Bad..??)
Hard to believe just over 2 months ago she was still in my tum tum!
Here are a few recent pictures of the little!
On another note... I am TRYING my hardest to create some new artwork.. but finding the time is SO hard!... I have been working on the same little project for I think the past month now... but hopefully it will get a little better.. I have been able to bring the little downstairs with me at times and it has worked out pretty well.. Although I find myself talking and playing with her more than doing any artwork..
All in due time!
A few things I have learned so far about Motherhood...
1-never EVER leave the home without a bottle ready, and never not have one ready at home.
2-When I get the time to soak in a bath its like going to the spa
3-the puppy and baby seem to want my attention at the same time, and then the phone rings
4-a simple smile from my girl is absolutely priceless, better than anything in the world
5-The swing and wind up toys have become my best friends
6-I love the smell of her (without poopy diapers of course)
7-MY Mom is a savior
8-there is no such thing as a quick trip out
9-I need to invent a car seat carrier with wheels
10-I love shoes period.. but little girl baby shoes even more
11-I've never listened to so much piano CD's in my life (it relaxes her)
12-your house never looks the same once you have kids
13-Not quite sure what I did with all my time before I had her, and what I would give to borrow some of that time now
14-Holidays are so much more special
15-My life has changed completely, and I can't imagine not having her now-she IS my little buddy!
Where does time go?
The days fly by.. the nights a little longer.. as little Audrey has been having a hard time at night..
I cannot believe 1-it's so close to Christmas and 2-Audrey is 5 weeks old
Things are good... adapting to Motherhood well... although.. I have SO much more respect for Mothers now that I know what they go through..... even just getting out of the house takes time and patience. Most of the time it is absolutely wonderful.. but there are those times that you want to cry to be honest...
Audrey is good though.. growing like crazy! She has gained 2 pounds and grown 2 inches already... seems so unreal how fast they grow! She is smiling (not gas smiles) and coo-ing and grows increasingly aware more and more each day! I just love the little bird!
Lucy had a little relapse and had to go back to the hospital for a few days.. but she is home again now and doing very well! Her spirits and energy have improved 110% from what they were before surgery, which
makes me so happy! She is such a great addition to our little family!
I am itching so bad for some art time! It has been WAYYYYYY to long and I forget even what my art room looks like! I need to take some time out soon and get my fingers dirty... not to mention list some things on etsy to make a little extra money for Christmas.... Lucy's surgery wiped us out (of course well worth it!)
Sweetest Chelise and friends from ZNEart gave me a gift certificate from my favorite childrens store JANIE and JACK to celebrate my little Audrey Bird's birth
What I was able to purchase with the gift certificate was so perfect that I had to share!!!
The entire outfit has little birdies on them.. including the tiny crib shoes... It is sooo adorable!
Thank you SO much Chel.. and ZNE members!!!! You're too sweet!
I just cannot get over how sweet their childrens clothes are!!! I can't wait to see her in these.. I hope she can wear them now!.. she is so small that she doesn't have many clothes that fit her at the moment! NOT wishing time away by any means I love her small and cuddley :)
Don't have a whole lot of time lately :O) but I thought I would share a few more pics!
Lucy has done amazing with her! She kisses her on the head and peeks in her crib when she fusses. She doesn't seem to be super jealous, and I am sure that's due to the fact she is still a pup.
This is a sweet picture of her asleep on daddy's shoulder.
A few pics of things in her room...
I cannot even believe she is 2 weeks old now! According to her Dr. appt this week she has gained a whole pound! It is so true how time flies. She is adapting so well and starting to sleep longer at night... and stay up longer during the daytime. Mommy and Daddy are adapting well too.. our little has brought us so much happiness, we are so blessed! She changes minute to minute and we cherish every bit of it!
