I have looked and looked and cannot quite find what I need...
I would really like to find silhouettes of all sorts of dog breeds as clipart.. or jpg... or any decent size image file for that matter..
Does anyone know of such a place to get silhouette pictures of dog breeds?
While I was searching.. I did come across an inspiring website called Karen's Whimsy.. not only can you find some inspiration here in her art.. but she offers some great artist resources and some free images!!!!
although I didn't find what I was looking for.....(the silhouettes of dog breeds) I did find the cutest pics (public domain) on Karen's Whimsy website of little chicks.. and flowers.. that were oh so adorable!!!! click on the link to go straight to them... but the ones I found so adorable... I will show you!
oh and darling pics of Victorian Houses!
I was ecstatic today to receive my Sommerset Studio magazine in the mail today! I always get so excited first.. when it comes.. and then when I have the opportunity to sit down and browse through it!!
So I am browsing.. tonight... taking in every page and all of the wonderful eye candy..
WHEN.. I was absolutely elated... when I saw the ad for the Winter Gallery 2007 issue! Because in the middle of the page I see MY ARTWORK!!!!! OM GOSH! Never even knew it! I sent little doll creature in so long ago that I had really forgotten about her..
But then I quickly went from totally elated to "awww shucks!" they credited my little doll to someone else :(
I guess at least I know who made it and I AM honored to be published!!! Well.. and now also anyone who reads my blog.. (but really.. where's the proof?-- ahhh I have to dig up and old picture I took of her when I first made her to prove it!)
It is a beautiful Sunday.. The weather is overcast (love these days), and raining off and on. I didn't get dressed until noon and I am in my studio (HELL of a mess) with
THE DOG
The Bird
Larry is hanging out on top of his cage with Scout and I in the studio..
AND...
NO where to work.. How is it that I manage to get myself in a position that I have 2 square inches (if that) to work in???? It always seems to end up that way!
So we're all hangin' out and I am creating a plethora of art in all arenas! Collage.. Journaling... boxes.. all sorts of stuff... the only thing is I can't finish one because I have 12 things going on at once in my 2 square inches. (nothing new)
Amarie Hill bought a Vintage paper pack & a Vintage Wallpaper/Ribbon pack from my ETSY shop!
She sent me these collages today to show me what she's done with the beautiful papers!
they are beautiful Amarie..Thank you SO much!
I always wonder what people create with them!!!!
Amy... if you read my blog.. your wallpaper pack is on its way! I mailed it this morning! :)
I volunteered today for a local art festival called Fresh Paint. It's a very well done event that displays local artists at work/selling their work. Everything from watercolor & mixed media to glassblowing & silversmiths at work.
The best part about this event is watching the artists work!--oh and the fact that it's on the waterfront boardwalk and everyone can bring their dogs is quite a plus too! I met several sweet doggies (which I can remember all their names no problem--when it comes to the dog owner's names--don't even ask...it's funny how that works with me!)
This is Andy the border collie, that I saw numerous times today. IT IS true that they are the SMARTEST dogs around... and Andy was a SWEETHEART!!!!!
This is Jose, the 7 year old pug! Talk about spoiled! He had his OWN baby carriage because he's getting a little too old to walk around at these events, but his owner wasn't about to leave him home to miss out!
It was my job today to sell raffle tickets and relieve the artists for breaks. I had so much fun and it makes me want to be involved in the community events So much more! It's a WIN WIN!
This one just one of the booths that I worked at.. His glasswork was AMAZING!
This gal created some INCREDIBLE mixed media work!!! I have to say as far as relating, her work was one of my favorites!
Some incredible work in pastels!
It was a great day, and so inspiring.. I wanted to come home and filthy with FRESH PAINT!
:)
This is my reciprocate collage for Erika.
Erika.. if you read this.. it will be in the mail SOON! (promise)
I am so elated to say that I made the Snohomish County Visual Arts Website!
